Brief Job Summary:
The Restaurant POS software development team is organized into multiple pods, each supporting different areas and features of the product. The engineer who joins this role will be supporting the Shared Products pod on the Restaurant POS team.
The Restaurant POS product is central to many of the products in the Restaurant suite, including Integrations, Online Ordering, amongst others. The Shared Products team ensures that the Restaurant POS can support features from various Restaurant products, as well as originate POS-specific features for other Restaurant products to support, to provide a seamless experience for our customers.
Day to Day Activities:

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain critical systems for our customers
• Build full-stack web applications using Golang, Javascript, and React.js
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and QA engineers to define, design, and test features
• Lead by example by following the best practices of SpotOn SDLC and introducing your own ideas to continuously improve our processes
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

• Fluency in at least one programming language (with a lean towards front-end preferred)
• Experience debugging and resolving issues with production systems
• Experience working in a small, fast-paced, agile team
• Comfortable working across timezones with a global team
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Comfortable with pushing back on obstacles and voicing concerns

Skills that are a plus:

• Experience developing software in Javascript, React.js, and Golang
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience in mentoring and coaching engineers
