Software Engineer - Frontend

Overview of Position:

Speedcast delivers highly customizable, critical communication solutions for remote sites. The Software Engineer will work on a team of software, systems and network engineers, to develop and deliver next generation communication products over a variety of common and highly specialized communication paths. This role will be responsible for working independently, actively, and confidently promoting improvements, and incorporating new technologies, throughout the lifecycle of each product.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces.

• Develop and maintain web applications using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Material-UI (MUI).

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices.

• Optimize application performance to ensure a smooth user experience.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Stay up to date with the latest front-end development trends and technologies.

• Mentor and guide developers as needed.

What we need from you:

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Next.js, and React.

• Experience with NodeJS

• Experience with CSS and CSS Frameworks (preferably MUI)

• Experience building/deploying using containers (Docker)

• Solid understanding of front-end architecture and design principles.

• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer, with a portfolio showcasing your work.

• 3 years of relevant experience.

Even better if you have:

• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

• Familiarity with AWS Serverless services

• Familiarity with Scrum and other Agile processes
