What you’ll be doing:

As a member of Insights Front-End team, your primary responsibilities will include helping build client-facing data visualization dashboards of Bazaarvoice data that give our clients valuable insights into their all aspects of their program performance.

This is a front-end role, so standard rules apply: JavaScript, HTML. CSS, React and scripting languages like BASH, Python etc. However, we are looking for more than satisfying a list of buzzwords – we are looking for someone that lives and breathes web applications.

You will be responsible for innovating over, building out, maintaining front-end applications that our clients rely on to measure their BV product and program performance. You will be continuously working to improve the Bazaarvoice client tools so that clients have a positive experience with Bazaarvoice while performing their daily reporting tasks.

Who you are:

• BS in Computer Science or another quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience using JavaScript, HTML and CSS to develop web applications.
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting language – Python, Bash, Ruby etc.
• A strong knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals and computer science fundamentals.
• You can speak to and demonstrate the power of newer CSS capabilities..
• Demonstrated experience using React or similar frameworks.
• A browser’s devtools are as much in your tool belt as your text editor is.
• You understand performance, accessibility and security standards and develop applications with those in mind.
• Comfortable in delivering within Agile development methodologies ex. Scrum/Kanban.
• You know how to test an application, as well as how to write an application that is testable.
• Strong analytical, technical, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Working knowledge of at least 1 public cloud hosting provider (AWS (preferred), Google Cloud, Azure or similar).
• You like working in collaborative environment with a diverse team that consists of members from front-end and back-end engineering, product management, UX designers, technical writers etc.
• Someone committed to excellence. That means building collaborative relations up, down and across the organization; staying positive when tackling tough challenges that often requires cross-team contribution.
