About the team
Global E-Commerce is a content e-commerce business with international short video product as the carrier. It is committed to becoming the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products at affordable prices. The Global E-Commerce business team hopes to provide users with more tailored and efficient consumption experience, enabling merchants to receive reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live e-commerce, short video content e-commerce, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach.

The Global E-Commerce Service Architecture team is a global team responsible for responding to the challenges of globalization and ensuring the operation and development of Global E-Commerce businesses. The team specializes in engineering efficiency by providing SDLC solutions, CI/CD pipelines, tooling, best practices, and any other services that enhance DevOps, engineering quality, and productivity for global e-commerce.

Responsibilities:
1. Research, design, and implement end-to-end solutions from webapp to backend to enhance the CI/CD platform experience.
2. Optimize the system from webapp to backend to improve availability, observability, maintainability, and performance.
3. Collaborate with cross-teams to implement solutions and resolve issues.
4. Handle oncall rotation and resolve customer issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related fields from accredited and reputable institutions.
2. 3+ years experience in developing Fullstack web applications, with demonstrable knowledge of end user experience optimization, stability & scalability, code modularity, and rendering latency.
3. Good understanding of frontend - backend multi-tier application architecture and protocols, familiarity with product and software development lifecycle process.
4. Understanding of component-based development ideas, familiarity with React, Angular 2.0+, Vue.js, or any other equivalent library/framework.
5. Proficiency in designing data structures, building algorithms, and at least one programming language: JavaScript/Python/Go/Java.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Familiar with various databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar. Understanding of performing CRUD operations, writing complex queries and database optimization.
2. Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great applications to improve engineering efficiency.
3. Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver.
4. Being open to working in an agile environment and actively cooperating with the team.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $110000 - $205000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
