Position Overview
In order to share and leverage information across StepStone’s 26 offices and global client base, we utilize a number of different web applications, which are used to report historical performance and make better investment decisions. We are looking for an entry level PHP developer to join our quickly growing team to assist with the expansion and maintenance of these web applications. The developer position will be office-based (i.e., not remote) and located in La Jolla, California. A strong preference will be given to developers with experience with the Laravel framework.
Essential Job Functions
- Work under guidance of Senior Engineers to add new features to our platform as well as maintain existing code.
- Collaborate with other team members on projects and provide results in a timely manner
- Migrate legacy code to more efficient frameworks and structures
- Contribute to multiple projects with their own requirements and deadlines
- Full-stack development working on both front-end and backend assets
Other Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience with PHP, JavaScript
- Experience with REST, AJAX, JSON, and related web technologies
- Experience with MVC frameworks (Laravel preferred)
- Highly motivated individual with a focus on writing clean, well-tested, and scalable code
Salary Range - $70,000 - $80,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
