Software Engineer I

Essential Functions:

• Design and develop software applications using a variety of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, and others.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify software requirements and develop solutions to meet those requirements.
• Develop and implement efficient algorithms and data structures to optimize software performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot software defects and provide timely resolutions to minimize impact on end-users.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in software engineering, and apply new knowledge to improve software quality and productivity.
• Demonstrated expertise with source code configuration management tools such as SVN and Git, as well as familiarity with IDEs and debuggers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Lua, and others.
• Experience with software development tools such as Git, JIRA, and Jenkins.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including software design patterns, software testing, and continuous integration and delivery.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required
