Description Summary: M3 is seeking a Software Engineer I - Business Intelligence (BI) to join our team and contribute to the development of software applications that focus on business intelligence and analytics. The ideal candidate should have experience with SQL, SSIS packages, SSRS reports, PowerShell, Power Automate, and REST APIs. As a Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, collaborating with team members, and communicating with clients.  

 

Essential Duties:

The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to s fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties.

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load data from various data sources.
  • Create and maintain SSIS packages for data integration and ETL processes.
  • Develop and maintain SSRS reports for data visualization and analysis.
  • Build and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and processes.
  • Build and maintain Power Automate flows to automate business processes.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs to support business intelligence and automation projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and troubleshoot software issues related to business intelligence and automation projects.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Communicate with clients to gather requirements, provide support, and deliver solutions related to business intelligence and automation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and software development practices that are focused on business intelligence and automation. 

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in software development, specifically in business intelligence and automation projects
  • Proficient in SQL, SSIS, SSRS, PowerShell, Power Automate, and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with .NET framework, C#, and Visual Studio
  • Must be familiar with Git and source code management.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills in English and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to build and maintain positive business relationships with co-workers and other business contacts.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications especially in MS Office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and / or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in an office setting, sitting or standing at a computer workstation.
  • Ability to work the majority of the day using the computer, telephone and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to perform work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel infrequently in representing the company’s interests required.
  • Ability to work a hybrid in-office / remote schedule that is determined by the company.
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 25 lbs.
