Cloudera’s Data Warehouse team is looking for a talented engineer to play a key role in advancing Cloudera’s product offerings in the cloud. Since its origin, Cloudera has enabled customers to effectively manage and gain insight into their data leveraging both on-premises and cloud infrastructure and offer a unified data platform that enables customers to effortlessly access, manage and leverage data, regardless of where it resides.

As part of this team, you will build the Cloud-native data warehouse experience for Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) for both public and private cloud environments. CDP enables a coherent experience for operators of enterprise data clouds to manage and provision workloads for their users.

As a Software Engineer I you will:

• Implement scalable, enterprise-quality multiple Golang web services and kubernetes operators/controllers.

• Solve complex technical problems associated with operating large scale services in Kubernetes on Cloud Environments such as AWS and Azure

• Analyze large-scale distributed systems to identify root cause of functional issue, performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, failure points, and security holes

• Be hands-on with AWS and/or Azure PaaS, CaaS and other cloud infrastructure components

• Be working with K8s and technologies such as EKS, AKS, OpenShift, etc.in production

We’re excited about you if you have:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or Technical Field

• 1+ year of professional experience (including Internship)

• Strong knowledge of Golang based HTTP API servers and Kubernetes

• Development experience in Linux environment and Linux command line utilities

• Willingness to deep dive into new technologies and challenges, quickly learn and contribute

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Working knowledge of AWS and Azure services is a Plus
