Software Engineer I - Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) Modeler
What You'll Do:

• SW component of small team operation.
• Develop model (logical, physical and Behavioral modelling) and perform simulation activities in support of different USAF aircraft systems.
• Understand the customer requirements and input documents, plan meetings for clarification and collaboration with the cross functional team.
• Develop algorithmic module, MATLAB (system or product) module including research, design, development, and implementation.
• Test and validate system model during integration and deployment.

• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• BS degree or higher in Engineering, Math, Science, Computer Science preferred.
• 3 or more years MATLAB Programming and Predictive Maintenance toolbox preferred.
• 3 or more years of experience in object-oriented software development languages and processes-CAMEO, Magic, Draw-preferred.
• 3 or more years MATLAB / SIMULINK / Sims cape preferred.
• MBSE License/Cert preferred.
• Hands on experience on MATLAD / SIMULINK / Sims Cape / MATLAB State flow development.
• MBSE courses taken and experience with CAMEO, Magic, Draw preferred.
• Exposure in Model based system development process and methodology.
• Literature review experience.
• Solid communication skills.
• Ability to assist in preparing presentations and documents.
• Team player.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
• May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
• May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
• Location = Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:

• HIRING SALARY RANGE: $88,500 - $109,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
