ABOUT THIS ROLE
Join our dynamic Data Governance team at Apex as a Software Engineer II, where we are dedicated to enhancing the reliability and consistency of our data assets. The team will focus on monitoring, enforcing data governance policies, and ensuring the quality of our data. In addition, the Data Governance team will play a crucial role in managing operational issues as part of our global operations support during business hours. This position offers an engaging opportunity to be at the forefront of Apex's efforts to uphold data integrity and support local and global teams in making data-driven decisions.
Duties/Responsibilities

• Monitor and verify the integrity and quality of shared data assets, implementing sufficient health checks in DHP to detect any data issues promptly.
• Enhance data comprehensibility by ensuring all shared data fields, data artifacts, and tables are well-documented and capable of answering essential queries.
• Uphold strict field conformity standards across all data collections to ensure consistency and accuracy of data.
• Implement rigorous data masking protocols to ensure that all sensitive data fields are secured, and no personally identifiable information (PII) is stored in unauthorized locations.
• Extend sensitive data protections to encompass all facets of non-data lake operations, which includes APIs, Event Messaging systems, and Online UIs.
• Develop and maintain robust data integrity tests across all stages of the data lifecycle to prevent and address any data discrepancies or issues.
• Support data platform operations in all environments during business hours.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record in data management systems

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proficient in Python and minimum of 2+ years' experience with Cloud Data technologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experienced in data processing using micro services
