Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer II in San Mateo, CA to develop java based micro services leveraging Spring boot and Korra framework. Requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience providing API to Front-End mobile applications using RESTful webservices in a Spring Boot application. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience creating CI/CD pipelines in Unity/Gitlab to streamline deployment processes in development, stage, and production environments in AWS; creating Docker files for Java applications to create a Docker image  to create containers for automatic builds; modernizing Spring Boot applications  using Tomcat 9  and fix libraries in Gradle; creating Unit tests for new features and extending unit tests to existing features using Junit and Spock in Groovy; improving unit testing coverage  and analyzing  issues in SonarQube; working with AWS Lambda  and updating data in PostgreSQL; monitoring applications deployed to production in New Relic; debugging user issues/errors in development, stage and production environments using Splunk; and using Blue/Green deployment in AWS  deploy application in associated Load Balancers.  Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
