JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION
Develops core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identifies clients' purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Interacts with engineering groups to assist in the design changes to equipment and/or software. Trains and communicates with clients on systems application.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Designing and developing solutions to complex applications problems involving application development, migrations, and additions to existing applications. Build and maintain user interfaces in JavaScript/TypeScript that enable operators to efficiently do data entry tagged to specific pixel locations in source documents. Store the data in AWS S3. Integrate with centralized OAuth authentication and authorization system to enable secure login/logout. Develop and/or review development of test protocols for testing applications before user acceptance. Review application in progress of development to ensure compliance with overall design parameters and corporate development standards. Assess and develop design requirements and communicates in writing or in meetings with the development team while assessing detailed specifications against design requirements. Participate in software design meetings with other technical staff, business owners and subject matter experts to determine technical requirements. Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture. Monitor system operation to detect potential problems. Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information.
EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
One year of experience with solutions design and requirements definition, leveraging conceptual solution component models, business process models, and use cases.
Knowledge of Agile (Scaled Agile Framework), DevOps (Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery), Behavioral Driven Development, Design and Architecture, Cloud (AWS), Model-View-Controller design patterns for web applications, networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, related infrastructure technologies and practices, and at least 2 of these programming languages: Node/Javascript, TypeScript, Python, Java.
