Software Engineer II
Job Description
The Software Engineer II is a Mid-level role; capable of operating autonomously on many development and maintenance activities.• Assist with development by gathering information, performing analysis, and eliciting the details of user requirements in discussions with users
• Complete design, documentation, development, testing and debugging tasks working within a team
• Support application software by fixing problems and making enhancements
• Develop and implement other business optimization projects and solutions including enhancements and upgrades
• Work with others, provides feedback and guidance to less experienced
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors' Degree in technology, engineering related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and project lifecycle principles
- Advanced knowledge of various programming languages and/or advanced knowledge of web design languages, scripting tools and protocolsÂ
- 2-4 years of experience analysis, developing and writing code
- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and project life cycle principles
- Aptitude to understand the requirements for the enhancement or production issue
- Aptitude to correlate downstream impacts for suggested system changes
- Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, processes, and skills to meet project objectives
- Knowledgeable in software development life cycle and project life cycle principles
- Skilled in generating system documentation
- Experience working in the Financial Services Industry, specifically as it relates to Property & Casualty, Life Insurance, and/or Retirement a plus.
- Ability to work independently
- Advanced knowledge of various programming languages and/or advanced knowledge of web design languages, scripting tools and protocols such as C#, HTML, JAVA/Java Script, CSS, SQL and Database Skills. React, NET Core, C++, VB.Net, React, Python
