Job Description

Responsibilities

• Hands on experience in building and maintaining fault-tolerant, scalable Service/APIs and backend solutions
• Ability to construct enterprise-grade APIs using state-of-the-art techniques and best practices (REST, JSON, XML, etc.) 
• Analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
• Can support critical daily engineering operations related to payments and funding in collaboration with accounting team.
• Proficient in cross-platform integration 
• Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting, studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, external providers, and information servers.
• Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Thrive on teams with a congenial and collaborative approach to working through technical problems 
• Show flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the business
• Enjoys contributing to the development of his or her peers by providing mentorship and support

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of work experience in a software engineering role, preferred experience in payments processing and transaction management.
• Expertise with Core Java, GIT, Cache frameworks and Queuing frameworks
• Experience in Batch job processing
• Strong Data Skillset (SQL, Postgres, JSON, No-SQL DBs)
• Experience in cloud related technologies such as AWS, Docker, OpenShift, EC2
• Expertise in the web related technologies (Web applications, micro services and Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
• Hands on experience in developing secure coding.
• Experience in payments production support
• Adept at working in Agile teams, exposure to SAFE preferred. 

Nice to have:

• NodeJS knowledge/ experience
• Cloud knowledge/ experience
