The Role

A well-rounded web applications developer who is passionate about quality and technology. We value people who are willing to learn new technologies and are eager to add value to the product and the customers who use it. They should understand the ecosystem of tools, technologies and best practices that are behind the ongoing delivery of an excellent customer experience and highly available software. They are a craftsperson as opposed to a hacker, and will be working to make sure that the product isn’t just functional, but looks great too.

Requirements

We're looking for an experienced full stack developer with expertise in the following areas:

Required:

• 5+ years of proven experience working with PHP and JavaScript, ideally across different roles
• Strong grasp of essential web technologies like HTML and CSS
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript design patterns and experience with frameworks like Angular, Vue or React
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and SOLID principles
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. MySQL)
• Proficiency in building and working with RESTful services and APIs
• Experience using testing frameworks for robust code
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design

Beneficial:

• Comfortable working in an Agile Scrum environment
• Experience with VueJS
• Experience with AWS

Soft skills:

• A strong problem solver who views complex challenges as opportunities
• Excellent communication skills for effectively collaborating with fellow developers, whether in person, via email or through technical documentation
• Ability to stay focused and prioritise tasks when requirements evolve or priorities shift
