About the Role: Software Engineer II
Weâre looking for a Software Engineer II to join our SOFTBOT Platform team to help build out our platform; someone who isnât afraid to take on the challenges of building new features for an evolving product. The product youâll build will be responsible for the next revolution in Robotics and Industrial Automation.
A potential day in the life of SVTâs Software Engineer II:
- Take product ideas from ideation to implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams to iterate on our product.
- Write well-tested and well-organized production-quality code, with an emphasis on maintainability.
- Participate in engineering discussions and ensure engineering best practices are followed.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Have an active voice in shaping both technology and product decisions.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Required skills/qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working in an engineering role.
- Like to work closely with customers and stakeholders to build features and solve problems.
- Proven experience and fluency with server-side web development in C# (or another similar language e.g. in Golang, Java / Scala, C++)
- Experience with Azure (or AWS/GCP).
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals: data structures, distributed systems, concurrency, and threading
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and empathy
- Selfâstarter and problem solver, willing to solve difficult problems and work independently when necessary
- Able to drive cross-functional projects from requirements gathering through products
- You value high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
- Must have some experience with docker and/or Kubernetes architecture on Linux OS and Windows OS
You get bonus points for having:Â Â Â
- Full stack engineering experience â in addition to strong backend skills you have worked on front end applications in React, Svelte, or equivalent JavaScript framework.
