WPGraphQL is a free, open-source WordPress plugin that provides an extendable GraphQL schema and API for any WordPress site.

Faust.js™ is a JavaScript library (and companion WordPress plugin) that solves common problems for developers building headless WordPress sites.

The day to day

• Member of a passionate team evolving open source projects in the following areas

  • WPGraphQL and its ecosystem of extensions 

  • Faust.js™ library 

• Engaging with the community on a daily basis to gain in depth insights 

• Proactively advise and act on feedback for the benefit of the community

• Collaborate with the team and the community to formulate and deliver new features

• Participate in a methodical agile process supporting a high performance self directed team

• Adhere to high quality software development and test procedures 

• Participate and be proactive in the continuous improvement of the team’s processes, tools and ways of working.
   

Your Expertise and Passion:

• Open Source Enthusiast: Passionate about open source software with a commitment to sharing and contributing to the community.

• Effective Communicator: Able and willing to engage publicly on technical challenges and concerns.

• WordPress Development: Deep understanding of WordPress development best practices.

• API Knowledge: Familiar with GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs.

• Software Development Experience: Ideally, 2+ years of experience in a software development role with a track record of delivering high-quality software.

• Continuous Learner: Demonstrated history of staying current with technology trends through continuous learning.

• Proactive Problem Solver: Possess natural problem-solving abilities, an inquisitive personality, and the capability to tackle issues even with uncertain requirements.

Helpful Experience:

• Familiarity with headless concepts (SSG, SSR, ISR, etc).

• Experience with git.

• Understanding and experience in agile development processes.

• Experience with API tools like Postman, GraphiQL, etc.

• Proven experience contributing to public open source projects.

• Experience in developing custom WordPress plugins or building custom blocks.

• Skilled in one or more of the following:

  • PHP

  • WordPress

  • JavaScript

  • TypeScript

  • React

  • Next.js
