POSITION: Software Engineer II

LOCATION: Houston, Texas

DUTIES: Work in a team responsible for creating new, innovative products and services to provide edge capabilities for an Industrial loT platform for all NOV Business Segments. Responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle- technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support. Dedicated to solving problems, designing sophisticated solutions and quality is critical to achieving success in this role. Participate in the development and implementation of new products and services related to our Industrial loT platform's edge capabilities. Interact with internal and external development teams identifying the best approaches for the integration of different systems. Interact with Subject Matter Experts and Project Managers from all parts of the organization. Provide detailed reports within area of responsibility after product testing and validation. Utilize C, C++, Go or object oriented programming languages. Utilize experience in software architecture, data structures, modern design patterns, and network protocols. Utilize proficiency on Linux OS and the command line.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer and Systems Engineering or Computer Science. And 2 years of experience in the job offered, or 2 years of experience in a related occupation utilizing C, C++, Go or object oriented programming languages; utilizing experience in software architecture, data structures, modern design patterns, and network protocols; and utilizing proficiency on Linux OS and the command line.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, the employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer and Systems Engineering or Computer Science. Also requires experience, course work and/or project experience utilizing C, C++, Go or object oriented programming languages; utilizing experience in software architecture, data structures, modern design patterns, and network protocols; and performing on Linux OS and the command line.
