ABOUT THIS ROLE
Software Engineer II - Collaborating with trading and technology teams on trading strategy and developing new features which enable our trading desk to operate more efficiently and capture new business opportunities. Owning execution of key initiatives that align with strategic business plans. Providing influence and critical inputs into strategic business plans and trading tools platform architecture. Handling challenges in stability, scalability and performance within and across major business-critical systems by diagnosing, recommending and implementing
improvements, by using new and established practices and technologies - in a high-availability high-performance environment. Performing manual and automated testing to confirm overall system stability. Owning trading platform services throughout the software development lifecycle, including deploying to production, monitoring and tuning performance. Troubleshooting production issues quickly and efficiently.
Requirements - Bachelor's or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Management, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in software development. Employer also accepts Master's or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Management, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field. Special skills - Experience with Java, Typescript, HTML and CSS; microservices & architectures, Spring &;
Spring Boot, &; REST APIs; SQL; Junit, Mockito, JMeter, Jasmine; Agile, Pair Programming and Test Driven Development; Software Development. Position is based in Austin office with option to occasionally work from home office in Austin area.
