Job Duties
Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for Fivetran using SQL (Structured Query Language) Databases, NoSQL databases, API (Application Programming Interface) end points and Webhooks (systems for data transfer between applications). Maintain and upgrade Lever API connectors (a connector to obtain data from the Lever Applicant Tracking System for hiring and Human Resources). Collaborate with other Software Engineers to implement a new connector "Document DB" for Mongo Database. Test and deploy code to the cloud (Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform) via Kubernetes, Docker, and CircleCI. Collaborate with the Software Engineering team to implement the next phase of improvements for incremental data loading (a persistent storage feature that saves the precise state of customers' databases at pre-determined points in time). Improve the performance of the PostgreSQL connector for customers by implementing a new Publications feature. Write unit tests to test pipelines and develop test plans and unit tests for ongoing improvements and maintenance releases for PostgreSQL connectors. Study code written by peers to learn about Fivetran's software development methodologies and best practices, and ensure coding standards are met. Work with the product team to clarify requirements and functionals queries for new application connectors and/or additional features.
Job Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related.
