Software Engineer II

As a  Software Engineer II on the Applications Team, you will get to explore and work with cutting-edge technologies and a tremendously large (and fantastically rich) data set. What You'll do:

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and systems, ensuring they meet high standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
• Work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, tools and methodologies.
• Design, develop and maintain highly scalable applications using JAVA.
• Solve interesting and challenging problems alongside a great team of engineers.
• Refactor and improve existing codebases to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to design and implement features and functionalities for the platform.

What you bring:

• 3+ years industry experience, B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience working with Spring Framework and programming languages such as JAVA.
• Experience with SQL Server and/or MongoDB - writing efficient queries, designing schemas
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools, particularly Datadog.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and unit testing.
• Familiarity utilizing CI/CD tooling for automating builds, tests, dependency publishing, and application deployments (Jenkins).
• Familiarity working with Cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity working with frameworks such as like Angular 2 and up or React and Node.js
• Strong desire to seek pragmatic, innovative solutions to complex business and technical problems. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams including customer support, product, and engineering.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to solve interesting challenges.

The US base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 + bonus & equity + benefits.
