We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and debug applications software and systems that incorporate logical and mathematical solutions. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and utilization of electronic data processing systems. Complete Description

As a Software Engineer, you will work in a collaborative team environment to deliver software solutions for radar sensor sustainment and modification. You will engage in multidisciplinary research and closely collaborate with equipment designers, hardware engineers, and stakeholders to plan, design, develop, and optimize electronic data processing systems.

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems.
• Conduct research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers.
• Analyze system capabilities to identify and resolve program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Prepare operating instructions and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Ensure adherence to software standards throughout the development process.
• Work in an Agile environment, following Agile software development practices and methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and the Scaled Agile Framework.
• Demonstrate ownership and take responsibility throughout the software life cycle.
• Foster innovation and forward thinking in software development.

Minimum Requirements

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
• Experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices and methodologies.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) systems.
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams and government customer personnel.
• Familiarity with version control software and Atlassian tools, such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
• Proven ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions with limited direction and definition.
• Excellent task prioritization and adaptability to meet project goals.
