Team Overview:Â
When you hear billing, chances are you might think of a dusty corner office with several decade old file cabinets. Klaviyo’s Billing & Monetization team is not that! We oversee the payments and enforcement infrastructure that allow hundreds of thousands of companies to send billions of emails and text messages on BFCM weekend. As Klaviyo continues to scale, our team will play an instrumental role in capturing revenue (both domestic and international), building features that help users understand where their dollar spend goes, complying with regulatory requirements, facilitating internationalization and assisting in all pricing related changes at Klaviyo.
How you’ll make an impact:
The Billing & Monetization team is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to grow with and to help grow our team by working with fellow team members to research, design, and scope projects that help Klaviyo drive towards its mission of empowering businesses to own their own destiny. The work you’ll do is central to launching new and innovative products and ensuring customers are receiving a high quality experience when understanding how we bill them for the services we provide. Additionally, you’ll take part in several opportunities to help us improve our architecture and scale profiles
Team Tech Stack:
- Python / Django
- React
- MySQL
- Redis
- Memcached
- RabbitMQ / Celery
- Apache Pulsar
Required Skills:Â
- Experience with full stack application development
- Experience designing and working with APIs
- Experience working with various architectures and frameworks
- Experience with asynchronous workflows, using queueing or streaming based systems
- Experience debugging performance issues and improving application performance
- Experience leading small to medium sized projects
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Stripe, Avalara, and Netsuite
- Experience with SFDC
- Experience building and improving monitoring and alerting pipelines
- Experience with Terraform and AWS core services such as RDS, Elasticache, and others
