At Postman, one of our goals is to create net new developers in the world, and we believe products like Postbot, an AI Assistant for our users, will play a vital role in this journey. 

To help us with this, we’re seeking exceptional engineers to join us. As an AI Software Engineer, you will work with a talented team of engineers, researchers, design and Product teams, to design and implement key components on developing and implementing AI-powered products and workflows into Postman’s product.

What You'll Achieve :

Generative AI is such a new field that best practices and recommendations aren’t fully developed, which means there’s a lot for us to experiment and learn. That being said, here’s what has worked for us so far:

• Work with the team to prototype and launch new AI ideas that will impact millions of people around the world. 
• Develop novel human-machine experiences that bridge the gap between the cutting edge of AI development and well-crafted solutions for our 25 million users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features on time across Postman’s product stack.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI technologies and trends.
• Ship with high intent and work with the team to improve velocity and quality over time.

You might be a good fit if you :

1. Are a product-minded engineer (3+ years) who has the desire and flexibility to wear multiple hats
2. Have experience in building production full-stack software with Node.js and/or working with complex React applications 
3. Take a user-centric approach to product development, prioritizing solutions that are robust, scalable, accessible and intuitive. 
4. You have a "validate first and perfect later" mentality, and you are curious about how things work under the hood.
5. You are passionate about the potential of AI and are eager to tackle the challenges around engineering best practices and the evolving ecosystem of generative AI
6. Self-driven, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
7. Have experience shipping AI features or building AI infrastructure
