ABOUT THIS ROLE

Software Engineer II – Design and implement the future of our GCP cloud-native event-driven (Apache Kafka) microservice architecture. Give technical thought leadership and high-quality system design to our high-volume high availability trade clearing platform. Design develop test deploy and maintain diverse foundational services and SDKs used by product development teams; Learn from and apply design techniques and coding standards coached by our Senior Engineers; Build resilient self-scaling self-healing services that allow you to sleep through the night; and Support the production systems that you build. This includes build deployment (CI/CD) and monitoring (Grafana Prometheus PagerDuty). Write high-quality well-tested code. Maintain high code-quality standards across your team via code reviews.

Requirements – Bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Information Management Computer Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a software developer. Special skills – Experience in Java Python C++ or Go. Hybrid role-Occasional telecommuting permitted in Chicago area. Salary: $110000/year. See benefits at https://peak6.com/careers/.
