Software Engineer II, Mobile
Job Description
The Software Engineer II, AIX will focus on development of Mobile application for Android and iOS. This entails active participation in all stages of the software development life cycle, including sustaining. This role includes development, integration, testing and collaborating with cross-functional R&D teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement Applications and Frameworks for Android and iOS platform
- Perform duties with a diligence, including design, code reviews, and a sense of task ownership
- Excellent grasp of OOP and SOLID principles
- Work with multi-discipline teams on proofs of concept utilizing and integrating with cloud
- Perform integration, Write unit tests and system level testing of software systems
- Perform task estimation and develop software projects according to project plan
- Provide initiative-taking, transparent, and concise communication on project status
- Develop documentation related to software development projects (design artifacts, test plans/cases, etc.)
Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience developing commercial mobile applications using framework such as Xamarin, MAUI, React native, Flutter a plus
- Fluent in C#, .Net Core and proficiency with Java, React, C/C++
- Proven experience delivering custom mobile solutions for both Android and iOS, connecting with cloud-based services, such as RESTful API's and deep understanding of user authentication (such as Auth0)
- Experience with security and distribution of mobile applications (Google play store, Apple app store and App Center)
- Proficiency with GIT and unit test frameworks (i.e. xUNIT, nUNIT, etc)
- Working experience with Agile methodologies, GIT/Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, TDD, pair programming, and tools such as Jira, SonarQube
- Experience with automated testing of the application software
- Experience with scripting languages (such as Python, Java Script, etc.) a plus
- Must be skilled at managing a significant workload and achieving excellent results, taking on additional responsibility and managing priorities as needed
- Experience with developing software of Medical Devices (IEC 62304) a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of commercial software development experience in R&D required
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred

Salary Range
Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $97,000 to $107,000 Full-Time Annual Salary/Hourly Range
