Overview, team, Scope of work:

• Product Team: Luminate™ Control Tower (LCT). LCT gives our customers, insights to discover, interpret, and act on real-time information from the entire digital ecosystem, including third-party data sources. Machine learning (ML) empowers prescriptive resolutions to supply chain challenges, taking prioritization and impact analysis into account, to stay ahead of today's supply chain complexities,
• As a Software Engineer II in LCT, you'll help contribute to building feature enhancement, roadmap items, unit tests, end to end test, as well as provide your view on the design of some architectures; you will be working with a team of 8 associates , located in Dallas
• LCT is a fast-growing product in BY, this is a very good opportunity that will enable you to work on the latest tech stack as well as great potential growth

Our current technical environment:

• Software: Java, Kafka, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch
• Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, Reactive, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture
• Cloud: Microsoft Azure
• Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Kafka, Elasticsearch, SQL Server, Redis

What you will do:

• Develop, test, and maintain back-end LCT infrastructure, performance, monitoring.
• Plan and prioritize your work with inputs from your lead or manager

• Autonomously perform small refactorings to improve local software quality.
• Actively provide feedback during code reviews.
• Assist inn deployment and troubleshooting of applications that are integrated with Azure, Kubernetes, Elastic Search, and other services
• Participate in implementing performance benchmark tests.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with four + years of related experience that includes some experience in microservices and REST API development
• Experience in performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting for large distributed system
• Cloud operation knowledge, experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and ignite

• Experience writing Java/J2EE applications and knowledge of its ecosystems, libraries, and frameworks
• Experience with Object Oriented Design
• Experience with SQL databases
• Experience with SaaS platforms such as Azure

• Understanding of modern architectures, key components, and aspects related to performance including web server, app server, service containers, relational and non-relational databases
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues

Bonus Points!

• Experience with stream processing platforms such as Kafka or Event Hub
• Exposure to caching technologies such as Redis, Hazelcast, etc.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or Mongo
• Familiarity with continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), Devops
• Experience in Microservices and REST design patterns
• Experience with Hibernate, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Ansible, MongoDB, gRPC
• Experience with SaaS platforms such as Azure, GCP or AWS
• Experience with API First design
• Experience as an active member of a Scrum or Kanban team.
