Software Engineer II - Web, Full Stack

What you’ll do as a Software Engineer on the UI Team at Akuna: 

Akuna is seeking a Web Developer to join the UI team. In this role, you will work directly with traders, quants, and other software developers to design, build, test, and maintain real-time data visualization tools. In this role, you will: 

• Provide application support for users and work with other support teams to identify, debug, and resolve technical issues. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop web applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python. 
• Continuously improve both application performance and stability to handle large volumes of data caused by market volatility. 
• Perform code reviews and provide feedback to peers. 

Qualities that make great candidates: 

• 1-3 years of experience in web software development 
• Experience with a full stack combination of core web technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, HTML/CSS, React, Angular 
• Experience with testing (unit, integration, functional, etc.) 
• Experience with databases, caching, websockets 
• Experience using CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes 
• Strong self-learner, problem solving skills, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment 
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
