Software Engineer III

Overview

Future Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to join our winning team. Clearance: Secret

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Research, design, develop, and test computer software programs.
• Develop the software systems that control computers.
• Develop new computer software systems and to incorporate new technologies in a rapidly growing range of applications.
• Apply the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that enable computers to perform their many applications.
• Analyze users' needs and design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems.
• May be involved in the design and development of many types of software, including software for operating systems and network distribution, and compilers, which convert programs for execution on a computer.
• Using strong programming skills, developing algorithms and analyzing and solving programming problems.
• Tasks can involve C, C++, and Java programming languages.
• Solve technical problems that arise.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience :

• BA degree in a technical or managerial discipline.
• 10 years of professional experience with software engineering.
• Must possess strong programming skills, but are more concerned with developing algorithms and analyzing and solving programming problems than with actually writing code.
• Have experience with C, C++, and Java programming languages.
• Preferred: 10 years professional experience in software engineering, or computer design, software development or computer network, or 15 years experience in web application development and database.

At least one DoD IAT level III certification:

• CASP+ CE
• CCNP Security
• CISA
• CISSP (or Associate)
• GCED
• GCIH

Desired:

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)
• Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
• Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
• Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
• Ability to manage projects/tasks utilizing Microsoft Power BI.
