Software Engineer III

Job Description:
We are looking for a strong technical developer/lead with experience in back end development, architecture and implementation of distributed systems in the Enterprise. We develop in Python daily in a unique code and data environment. You will work with the global team and liaise with teams and users. You will have the option to provide technical leadership to other developers and drive a book of technical work, communicating that work to technology and business stakeholders where appropriate.
Required Skills

• Minimum five (5) years of related experience
• Strong experience with Python
• Strong grasp of data structure and algorithms
• Strong communication skills
• Experienced in producing and orchestrating architectural/software/system design diagrams and sessions
• Experience in an Enterprise/Software Architecture/Stack
• Strong experience with backend system design skills in particular in a distributed and enterprise environment
• Strong performance track record

Desired Skills

• Experience with Platform ownership and management
• Experience working with Oracle
• Experience working with a Distributed Database (Hadoop)
• Passion for capital markets and/or experience
• Experience with platforming looking into SRE and the different "ilities" (such as reliability, scalability, capacity, and throughput)
• Ability to grow and lead a team
