The Position: We are looking for a Software Engineer Level III in our Jacksonville, FL location!

Purpose of the Position: The SW Engineer III will be part of an Agile team helping to drive the cloud migration and building of the next-generation Beeline Software as a Service (SaaS) product. In this role, the SW Engineer III will work closely the Product Owner to understand business objectives and priorities. In collaboration with the team and Architecture, the business objectives will be met through design and implementation of functional and non-functional requirements in a full-stack DevOps model. Ongoing research, learning and leveraging of Azure technologies to build an enterprise micro services platform.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in a Digital Transformation of Beeline's Vendor Management System (VMS) platform to a cloud based micro service architecture
• Work as part of a scrum team to identify and deliver user stories prioritized by your product owner
• Design and deliver functioning applications and services while adhering to sound development principles and best practices
• Work in a full stack DevOps environment: Own the services you produce by implementing automated tests, logging, measuring, and monitoring solutions to ensure quality, uptime and return on investment (you build it, you run it)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field, similar industry certification or experience
• Experience in one or more of the technologies: C#, .NET, MS SQL
• Highly motivated self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to drive and lead an agile team's direction while steering towards sprint and quarterly goals
• Ambition to drive problems to resolution regardless of the technology stack or implementation
• Test driven approach towards sustainable and maintainable code
• Ability and willingness to grow alongside our organization by learning new technologies and languages
• Communicate clearly and positively through written and spoken English
• Effectively communicate and engage cross-team with people from a variety of different backgrounds and technical ability
• Proactive and empathetic approach to dealing with customers and coworkers

Desired Competencies:

• Experience in one or more of the technologies: Microsoft Azure, Node.js, Vue.js, .NET Core, & Kubernetes
• Experience with various data stores such as Cosmos, Azure SQL, etc.
• Experience with micro services in a containerized environment
• Experience with messaging patterns and event participation
• Experience with Git distributed source control system of any flavor
• Ability and desire to drive change through high-energy, can-do attitude
• Comfortable working in a high-performance, entrepreneurial, open-door environment
• Strong communicator and team player who demonstrates attention to detail, and who also understands how to ensure finance initiatives that support the long-term strategy of the business
• Ability to work autonomously
