Position Summary

Caribou Thunder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer III to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems within the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) product line of the DE Task Order.

Complete Description

As a Software Engineer III, you will be responsible for supporting the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems within the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) product line of the DE Task Order.

  • Design, develop, test, document, and integrate simulation products for missile defense systems.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Java, C++, and/or C# to implement software solutions.
  • Work on Windows and Linux operating systems to ensure cross-platform compatibility.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Interface with stakeholders to present technical briefings and effectively communicate project progress.
  • Maintain version control using GIT or other relevant version control systems.
  • Contribute to both independent and team-oriented projects.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficiency in software development using C++, C#, Java, or a similar programming language.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming.
  • Basic understanding of Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as GIT.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity with the Linux KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine).
  • Experience working in Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Proficiency in Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA and Confluence).
  • Knowledge of software design patterns.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation development.
