Software Engineer III (CI/CD)

Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. This position supports Dream Chaser Flight Dynamics Simulation development through the following:

• Development of a CI/CD pipeline and package management system capable of integrating and delivering the Dream Chaser Flight Dynamics Simulation.
• Integration support for the Flight Dynamics Simulation.
• Planning and change management for the Flight Dynamics Simulation.
• Application of systems engineering and program management processes to deliver quality engineering on-time.
• Development of unit and integrated testing to verify models and simulation.

Must-haves:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering
• Bachelor's degree (Master's or greater preferred) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience working in complex systems
• Experience with C/C++, Python, Linux, MATLAB
• Understanding of Git and/or subversion
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Github, Bamboo
• Ability to think critically and solve problems individually or with others

Preferred:

• Experience managing software development life cycles
• Desire to work with, learn from, and mentor others.
• Understanding of statistics and their application to performance analysis.

• Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
• Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. Sierra Space considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
