Software Engineer III Full Stack

JOB SUMMARY: The Software Engineer III primarily works with project teams on developing new software to support strategic initiatives in alignment with business and / or enterprise strategies. We are moving from an on-premise C#/ASP.NET/SQL solution to a modern cloud-based solution, focusing on both Azure and Salesforce applications. This position is for working on developing and supporting our suite of Angular based custom products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Work with architects and other developers to implement software for strategic projects• Provide accurate level of effort estimates based on business requirements• Document development work with appropriate collateral as needed• Participate in technical design and code reviews to ensure quality and best practices are maintained • Perform as technical lead on smaller projects, and be a collaborative member on larger projects• Use the development technology appropriate for the project at hand• Develop software in a mixed Windows and PaaS type environment• Work effectively in cross-functional/cross departmental teams.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:• Coach and mentor junior developers• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and delivery timeframes• Fosters innovative team culture and process improvement during development phase• Working off-hours nights and weekends may be required on occasion for mission-critical needs

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in designing, modifying, writing, and implementing software programming applications; financial service industry experience helpful.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• REST/SOAP web services, C#/C++, .NET
• Excellent communication/collaboration skills
• SQL query optimization skills
• JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Angular experience required
• Salesforce knowledge preferred
• Experience with Unit Testing or Testing Standards (preferred).
• Familiar with software development best practices

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical noise levels for an open, cubicle-styled environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires periods of standing, walking, and the use of computer equipment. Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, talking or hearing, push/pull, stooping, kneeling, reaching w/hands and arms, and lifting at least 10 pounds.
