Software Engineer III (Testing)

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer III (Testing) to join the Konami Gaming team!

The Software Engineer III in the testing group is responsible for Developing Software Testing Tools to assist in the testing process with a secondary responsibility for executing the testing of games. This position requires knowledge of both Games SQA and Systems SQA test processes.

What will you be doing?

Software Test Tool Development

• Identifies Test Cases and or Processes which can be improved by Specific Tool Development.
• Develops Test Tools with an experienced Test Engineer.

• Maintains and/or updates custom Test Tools developed internally or from R&D.

Test Automation Development

• Identifies Test Cases and Processes that can be performed more efficiently thru use of Automation.
• Works with Test Engineers to develop Test Automation Scripts and Processes.

Software Code Review

• Performs Software Code Reviews for modified code delivered to SQA for testing.
• Determines collateral test coverage based on code review of modified files.

• Maintains accurate records of modifications and associated tests.

Test Performance and Records

• Performs Testing of titles released by R&D for Functional and Regulatory Compliance.

• Identifies and documents test problems and monitors status of projects.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Confers with Engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems, such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data and test interpretation.
• Coordinates with engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, telemeter, record, and reduce test data.

What skills and expertise do you bring to the job?

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Hardware Engineering or other related fields required.
• 6+ years of related experience and/ or training within a gaming company.
• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Visual Studio to create C++ or C# Software.
• Intermediate understanding in Microsoft Office products; knowledge related to interfacing Hardware and Software.
• Familiarity with Communications Programing (Serial, USB, Ethernet).
• Experience with Protocol Analyzers.
• Knowledge of Microcontrollers (Raspberry PI Pico, Basic Stamp, Arduino).
• Familiarity with Selenium, Visual Studio Macros.
• Familiarity with Test Anywhere (Automation Anywhere) is a Plus.
• Experience with Unity.
• Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently, verbally and written with all levels of the business.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain gaming licensure(s).
