Software Engineer in Test

Betteromics Inc has an opening in Redwood City, CA for a Software Engineer in Test.

Job Duties:

• Develop methods and infrastructure for engineers to automate and test software.
• Support engineers in writing tests with automated tools including Cypress, Pytest, and Xray in Jira.
• Evaluate coverage of software tests to identify and resolve gaps in testing. Write manual and automated tests to cover software requirements and critical user journeys.
• Identify and evaluate tests for software release against impacted requirements.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure necessary for testing. Release software updates to controlled production environments.
• Influence codebase for testability, performance, usability and accessibility.
• Develop monitoring, alerting and reporting for automated tests.
• Utilize Gitlab, Jenkins and CI/CD systems and design automated integration test suites for UI workflows, C# .net, visual studioAPI, and database queries including Selenium.

Location:

• Position based at company headquarters in Redwood City, CA with telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week, and must report in-office at least 2 days per week.

Requirements:

• Requires Bachelors in Computer Science, or related technical field and 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer in Test, Senior Engineer Test Automation, Software Engineer, or related. 5 years must include experience with:
  • (1) Developing and designing automation strategies, automation test plans, and executing those plans for each software release using principles of computer science;
  • (2) Maintaining and improving the automation design framework by creating automation test plans and developing complex scripts using source control, configuration management using version control systems, including Git or perforce;
  • (3) Creating, executing, and reporting on automation test plans; and
  • (4) Reviewing change requests, analyzing impact to development cycle, and implementing necessary changes to accommodate requests using C# .net and visual studio.
