Job Description Summary:
The Software Engineer in Test-II (SDET) keeps a keen eye on customer commitments and work collaboratively with engineering counterparts to meet customer commitments. The individual must build productive working relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer quality specifications. The Software Engineer in Test is responsible for the design, implementation, and documentation of code automation. The individual works on problem analysis and exercises judgment based on situations and data.

General Qualifications
- 3 to 6 years professional experience in the Software Testing field.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and development skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently create automated test scripts in Cypreee.io, Selenium, Java, Ready API or appropriate batch scripting language from provided test cases design descriptions.
- Perform different types of automated testing including functional, usability and load testing.
- Analyze results and provide defect reporting with a defect tracking tool.
- Debug and resolve issues in automated scripts by reading logs and other output.
- Work on an agile team of automation engineers.
- Interact with development as necessary.
- Manage time across testing multiple projects simultaneously.
Required Individual Traits
- Full professional proficiency (ILR Level 4) in spoken and written English, preferably with professional experience interacting on a high level with American English speakers.
- Ability to work in and across teams.
- Focus on usability and quality.
- Strong in explaining and presenting complex technical issues.
- Eager to learn new tools or technologies required for the project.
- Positive personality, able to motivate teammates.
- Reliable and willing to take over responsibility for the achieved results.
Required (Primary) Skills
- Automated testing experience with Selenium/Java, ReadyAPI or batch scripting languages.
- Experience working in a in a fast-paced development environment.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and experience testing in agile product release cycles.
- Experience involving browser-based and or server-based software products.
- Working experience in Windows OS, Unix, Linux, and database management tools (SQL, Oracle, and DB2).
- Experience with virtualization environments.
- Experience deploying J2EE applications in Tomcat, WebSphere or WebLogic.
- Experience testing web services (REST and SOAP).
- Experience with test environment setup on both Windows and Linux.
Desired (Secondary) Skills
- Ant/Python/Windows Power-Shell or Unix scripting experience.
- JIRA, QAComplete, Jenkins, Git/BitBucket, Gradle.
- Experience working on Docker and Kubernetes deployments.
- Familiarity with browser UI using Web/HTML5, CSS.
- Familiarity with Java and C/ C++ development.
- Knowledge of HTML5 Web Components.
- Experience in enterprise web and client server architecture.
