What you get to do: 

  • Pair with developers to continually build and expand automated testing tools and frameworks with a focus on API testing using Clojure.
  • Assess the risks of new solutions and draft test plans to reduce or mitigate those risks.
  • Mentor and train engineers in automation and testing practices.
  • Provide expertise to the development team on testing standards and practices for both automated and exploratory testing.
  • Implement testing tools and practices throughout the entire SDLC, including observability and “tests in production."
  • Collaborate with the product team to design solutions that meet deadlines.
  • Guide the improvement of quality processes as a thought leader for the development team and the Technological organization as a whole.
  • Opportunities to learn Clojure and improve your functional programming skills.

What you will bring to the team:

  • 5+ years of experience testing API components
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Test Cafe, Cucumber, RSpec, JUnit, TestNG, or others.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Ruby and/or Clojure
  • Ability to learn and understand complex financial requirements in a highly regulated environment.
  • History of collaborating with development teams building and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of testing, including performance, security, and privacy.
  • Understanding of the different approaches needed to test various architectures, such as microservices, and event driven messaging.

Reports to: Director of Quality Assurance

Job Level: Tech II

The minimum salary for this role is $102,000. The total compensation package includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses as well as a 1-time equity grant based on level.

The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
