Software Engineer, In Test IV

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Lead a team of 2-3 QA engineers and guide them to achieve the defined goals of quality.

· Perform manual, automation and exploratory testing against defect fixes and functionality developed by members of your agile team(s).

· Reproduce reported client issues in a QA environment; document reproduction steps clearly to assist the development and support teams in crafting solutions

· Engage with clients to discuss reported issues, gather the required information, and clarify details.

· Collaborate with Support, Product Management, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve client issues.

· Create ticket in defect backlog and provide detailed information to assist the scrum team to resolve the defect

· Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum teams to create, maintain and execute automated test cases/test scripts to ensure thorough testing of software products

· Conduct peer reviews of other team members’ test plans and test cases

· Deploy and build the test environment(s) and generate the relevant test data as needed

· Lead the culture of high quality, personal ownership, and customer-focused execution

· Think creatively to produce high quality, reusable and maintainable automated testing solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

· 8+ years of extensive manual and automation testing experience including 4+ years in automated testing.

· Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium & TestNG.

· Proficiency in one of C#/NUnit or Java/JUnit

· Good experience with Java, Jenkins, Bitbucket or any other source control management tool

· Experience with ADO or other source control management tool (such as Bitbucket or GIT)

· Experience in Test Cases Management Systems like TestRail, Defect Management tools like Jira.

· Proficiency in authoring, reviewing, writing and executing manual and Automated test cases

· Good knowledge of SQL and related relational database concepts.

· Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practices using Jenkins

· Experience in working with a team of 5-6 Engineers

· Experience with Agile development methodologies, Scrum or Kanban

· Experience in working as maintenance QA who collaborates with all stakeholders (Clients, Support, Services, Product and Maintenance team)

· Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent

· Working hours: 6pm - 3am IST

Desired Skills & Experience:

· Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development

· Rest API, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JMeter, Web Services

· Exposure to BI and DWH tools testing

· Cloud Platforms (AWS or OCI)

· API tools like Postman, Soap UI

· Experience with data masking technology
