Department Overview

We design software solutions for 911 emergency services ecosystem. We are primarily a .NET C# shop developing desktop, web, and cloud based software system. We are always trying to improve our software stack while pushing forward with new developments.
Job Description

Participate in an Agile SCRUM team to help develop and improve software that can help save lives and property. As a team member you will see our process and how we iteratively create software.

Your daily work can include:

• Participating in the design, development and automated testing of a software project

• Reporting to our team daily on your status and progress

• Collaborate with other developers to create the great software using best practices

Specific duties will be assigned based on the individual's tech stack preferences, experience, and education. These responsibilities could include:

• Expanding current application functionality using c#, VB.NET, MSSQL and other technologies

• Working on DevOps projects including pipelines using yaml and PowerShell

• Designing UI/UX experiences for new projects still in early stages of development

• Writing automated tests using a Gherkin BDD pattern

• Documenting changes and enhancements to software you work on

• Assist senior developers in current projects

• Troubleshoot and fixing new or existing bugs in our current software stack

Preferred Skills:

• Must have a strong foundation on the fundamentals of object oriented programming

• Must be willing and able to work in a highly collaborative environment

• Experience with the following languages/scripting languages is a plus: C#, VB.NET, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, MSSQL, PowerShell, YAML

• Experience with ArcGIS is a plus

• UI/UX experience is a plus

Basic Requirements

• Candidate must be actively pursuing a Bachelor or Master's Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Cybersecurity/Networking or another related field
