Software Engineer Intern (Container)

Why this role?

As a R&D Engineer Intern at Snyk you'll use your development skills passion and problem-solving abilities to help drive our mission to embed security into every part of the AI-native development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with a dedicated mentor and collaborate with our engineering team to meaningfully contribute to the Snyk Container security product.

• Use our AI-powered tools to own a full-stack project across the development lifecycle—building prototyping testing and deploying a new feature.

• Contribute directly to a product that is used by both developer communities and large enterprise organizations around the world.

• Network across Snyk joining "Impact" events build professional soft skills and engage with a global cohort of early-career talent.

What You Bring:

• An eagerness to learn new technologies and a high degree of adaptability to change.

• An AI-native orientation towards software engineering.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as TypeScript or Go.

• Foundational understanding of relational database design (e.g. PostgreSQL).

• A strong sense of accountability and ownership: you are proactive drive projects to completion and are eager to seek feedback.

• A passion for problem-solving and a desire to understand the "why" behind the code.

It’d Be Awesome If You Also… 

• Have experience with building running and managing containers (e.g. Docker Kubernetes) and related Cloud Native technologies.

• Have an active interest in cybersecurity DevSecOps and AI security.

• Have a sense of humour — we take our mission seriously but not ourselves!
