About the Software Engineer Intern role:
The Software Engineer Intern will support software engineers on their processes, shadowing their daily tasks, and performing duties under mentors' guidance. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to software design and software development. You will collaborate with other team members to create secure and reliable software solutions.
What you’ll do in the Software Engineer Intern role:
- Work with mid-level and senior engineers to develop, test, and maintain software applications and programs.
- Perform routine tasks, including debugging, testing and coding.
- Write readable and well-tested codes.
- Document and test new software applications.
- Help upgrade existing software or applications.
- Research, investigate and fix a wide range of technical issues.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to build innovative software solutions.
- Proactively learn about new technologies.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Junior/Senior in a college program in the Computer Science, Software Engineering or related area, or coding bootcamp experience required.
- Familiar with Javascript and basic understanding of NoSQL, databases preferably MongoDB
- Experience with React, Express, Node Js and serverless would be a plus.
- Have broad understanding across the engineering stack.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Ability to interact with cross-functional teams and work collaboratively within a team environment to meet goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid work authorization required.
