Software Engineer Intern (Cloud) – Summer 2023

IEX Cloud is a data infrastructure and delivery platform for any imaginable dataset. We leverage our high-performance APIs and real time streaming data services to power hundred of thousands of applications and developers. We operate in the mindset that “small and mighty” teams can move mountains, especially when they are well connected and coordinated.

As a Software Engineer Intern with the IEX Cloud Platform Team, you will work with individuals across the organization to help develop IEX Cloud’s software. This is a cross-functional opportunity where you will be able to leverage—as well as hone—your technical skills.

As an intern, you will help us build a scalable, robust platform that forms the basis of Apperate (https://iexcloud.io/), a cloud database with integrated data services that make it easy to build and scale modern applications.

What You'll Do:

• Participate in all stages of Software Development Life Cycle as part of the Platform development team
• Read and write code
• Deliver against business and product goals in each planning period
• Participate in code reviews and documenting the system
• By proactive in improving team communication and efficiency

Your Background:

• Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge here is defined as being able to sit down at a Linux terminal and compose and run a correct FizzBuzz program in under five minutes.
• Familiarity with computer science and networking concepts.
• Experience working in Linux environment.
