Software Engineer Intern - Native Framework & Tools

• Working in a large scale codebase, shipping code to production, experiencing the full software engineering lifecycle.
• These are potential projects that may change depending on your skillset, career goals and the needs at the time of your internship.
  
  • Network trace capture and replay through network emulation.
  • Extensive test automation for all Discord clients, including automated network impairment tests.
  • Distributed build system with remote caching.
  • Mobile client crash and analytics system.
  • Progressive deployment automation.
  • Windows / Mac OS application installer / updater with auto repair.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelors (rising Junior or Senior) course of study
• You are proficient with at least one of these programming languages: Rust, Javascript/Typescript, Python, C/C++.
• You have experience in at least one of these areas: build systems, networking, automation, application development.
• You want to learn about toolchains, software build process, CI/CD framework, building test systems, building large scale real-time telemetry systems, and building automation.
• You are passionate and care about the product.
• You are eager to learn, not afraid to come up with pragmatic solutions to concrete problems using first principles thinking.
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy being in a small, collaborative, selfless and fast moving team.

Salary of $67/hour*
