Complete Description

As a Software Engineer IV, you will play a crucial role in the advanced stages of software development, from requirements definition to integration and deployment.

• Provide support for advanced stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, integration, and deployment.
• Prioritize and adjust tasks to ensure project results are achieved with limited oversight and direction.
• Apply "systems thinking" to develop scalable, maintainable software solutions that meet end-user needs.
• Communicate openly and effectively with teammates and customer representatives to ensure alignment and understanding.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in developing software using object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
• Proficiency in development within a Linux-based development environment.
• Knowledge of scripting languages and tools, such as Python, MATLAB, etc.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with international sensors and fire control systems.
• Interest and aptitude in developing software focused on command and control threat tracking, track correlation, discrimination services, and reporting services.
• Experience and interest in complex missile defense algorithms, software implementation, discrimination techniques, track correlation, and track processing.
• Interest and expertise in designing and implementing software solutions for complex algorithmic math and physics-based engagement planning problems.
• Experience using math and physics software applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel.
• Proven communication skills with armed services and government customers.
• Experience analyzing complex problems and developing solutions with limited direction and definition.
• Familiarity with Missile Defense Systems and Sense & Warn based systems.
• Experience working on CMMI Level 3+ programs.
• Security+ certification.
