Software Engineer IV – Data Processing / Python / Cloud

A leading research lab is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join a cutting-edge team working on augmented and virtual reality technologies. This is a fully on-site, long-term contract role focused on building and optimizing data annotation and ingestion pipelines that support advanced machine learning systems. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and technical program managers to design and maintain data annotation and ingestion systems. • Develop automation for multi-stage data pipelines supporting a variety of devices and data sources. • Work across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines to deliver scalable software solutions. • Adapt quickly to new technologies, languages, and internal tools, including proprietary systems. Required Skills: • Strong experience with annotation systems and data pipelines. • Proficiency in Python, SQL, JavaScript, PHP, HTML5/CSS, and React. • Familiarity with infrastructure security tools and practices. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with evolving technologies. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Oauth, X.509, or other certificate systems. • Background in data validation and ingestion. • Proven ability to automate complex workflows and multi-stage pipelines.
