Software Engineer (Java) - Remote

As a Software Engineer with expertise in Java, Spring boot, AWS and Microservices with Convera based in our Pune office, you will be responsible for developing, implementing new software, maintaining and improving existing software.

You will be responsible for:

• Ensuring that software functionality is implemented with a focus on code optimization
• Troubleshooting application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams
• Recommending improvements to existing software programs
• Working with a software development team and Service providers in a geographically distributed structure
• Works independently on simple to medium complex projects

You should apply if you have:

• B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required
• Typically requires 4+ years of development experience in Sprint-boot, Angular2-8.
• Strong Core JAVA, J2EE concepts
• Exposure to relational databases, NOSQL is a plus
• Experience on Core Java including OOPS, exception handling, Collections Framework, abstraction, inheritance etc.
• Experience in using J2EE APIs like JPA, JTA, JMS, JDBC etc.
• Strong experience in Spring framework including dependency injection, IOC, Springboot etc., experience in containerization, API Gateways is a plus
• Experience with cloud native, cloud enabled applications is required
• Troubleshooting application issues in a complex code base
• Comfortable with a Scrum project management style
• Comfortable interacting with customers to solve issues and discuss technical questions
• Prior experience with financial domain is a plus
• Experience in Java full stack development.
• Knowledge of architecture design concepts, object-oriented design and techniques
• Knowledge of logical and physical database architectures and operating systems
• Experience in Agile and Iterative development methodologies
• Experience in Spring Boot
• Good understanding of OOPS, Security concepts with Java language
• Must have written/consumed Spring boot Services
• Must have Knowledge Frontend UI framework AngularJS, Angular2-8
• Must have Knowledge in creating docker container and deploy it in AWS.
• Must have working experience of Store procedure, Function, View, Table & Trigger using Ms-SQL 
• Will be of value added if worked in Jenkins knowledge (CI/CD)
• Fluency working with Git, Core Security concepts and threats
• Good knowledge of Testing Framework – Nunit, Protector
• Thorough knowledge of Tools - JIRA, Jenkin, Visual Studio 2017, SQL Management Studio
• You must be a problem solver with a can-do attitude
• You must be a self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize self-assignments, manage workload, and consistently deliver results
• You must be a quick learner
