Software Engineer - Java

As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group, you'll apply your expertise to solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices.
Qualifications

• 6+ years of extensive hands-on Application Development work experience throughout the entire project life cycle
• Strong architecture, analysis, design, coding, and code review skills
• Knowledge of and experience in the implementation of design patterns and best practices
• Experience in creating and optimizing new and existing code and code developed by other team members
• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with business analysts, solution architects, project managers and development teams.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

Skills required:

• Java/J2EE with a deep understanding of the language and core API's
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture
• Strong understanding of Multi-threaded / concurrent programming
• Spring framework, Spring boot
• GIT based Source code management and tools
• Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins
• Unit Testing / Automated Testing / Mock frameworks
• Design patterns
• Code profiling and optimization

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Cloud technologies
• Knowledge of Relational and Object Databases
• Experience in the Financial Services business domain
• Experience with collaborating with partnering teams and individuals to accomplish common goals
• Experience with using Agile with Scrum to work within your development team

About the Team The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams.
