The Team

We are looking for a Java Developer to join the CF Benchmarks Systems Team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining our distributed calculation system working with other teams to ensure the system is capable of handling current and future workloads reliably.

You should be diligent with a keen attention to detail and a track record of seeing tasks/projects through to successful conclusion.

For this role we are looking to hire someone in EST or CST timezone.

The opportunity

• Design and implement distributed services in Java

• Work closely with the product team to develop new features supporting business requirements in an end to end manner

• Work closely with the DevOps team to continuously optimize and improve production infrastructure

• Broadly contribute in the areas of data analysis core infrastructure core backend business logic implementations and more

• Support a 24/7 real-time distributed system as part of a wider team

• Help ensuring all systems have suitable coverage with tests metrics and alarms

• Help provide world class pricing and data services in the Crypto World

• Be part of one of the fastest growing Crypto Companies in the World

Skills you should HODL

• 2+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend systems development

• Possess a solid foundation of Java applications

• Ability to develop iteratively for a high throughput real time system

• Highly capable of writing maintainable simple efficient and dependable code

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Excellent problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to haves

• Experience working in the financial sector

• Experience working with cryptocurrency or blockchain technology

• Experience working with Linux SQL AWS Grafana or similar technologies

• Experience working with modern CI/CD pipelines Git and Gitlab

• Familiarity with common middlewares such as RPC protobuf message queues Redis
