What you’ll do
We are looking for a software engineer to join our team to build the high value systems used by our portfolio manager end users on a daily basis. We are building our real-time macro technology platform from the ground up using industry standard open source tools in the .NET ecosystem. In this high profile role within the Macro Strategy team, you will have the potential to have a massive impact on our business as the tools you build will be used by every member of the front office trading team.
We’re building a complex real-time system with a whole variety of components written in C# using .NET framework, .NET core & ASP. Net core with built in metrics and monitoring using Datadog. Team members will touch the whole project, but focus on specific areas of expertise, for example:
• streaming high volume real-time data;
• message queue based systems integration;
• building components with complex intraday multi-dimensional outputs;
• understanding of different approaches to caching and distributing data within a complex real-time system

What’s required
• Experience using C# or ASP .NET Core with an understanding of how to choose the right tools for the job
• Understanding of what it means to write multi-threaded concurrent code that needs to run for days at a time
• Strong focus on writing “good” testable code at both the unit and integration test level
• Desire to build best in class tools using C# and ASP.Net Core
• Experience with both .NET framework and Core
• Experience building and maintaining a complex real-time system with in-build metrics and monitoring
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
